Knight Transportation said late Wednesday, its second-quarter profit improved from a year ago.
Net income increased to $19.3 million, or 24 cents a share, from $16.4 million, or 20 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose 3.4% to $236.3 million, the company said.
Phoenix-based Knight Transportation is ranked No. 30 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
