Ryder Buys U.K.-Based Truck Leasing Company

Ryder System said it has acquired U.K.-based truck leasing company Euroway Group Ltd.

Terms of the stock acquisition, completed Wednesday, were not released. Ryder said the deal would add about $20.2 million in annual revenue to its fleet management solutions business.

Bedfordshire, England. Euroway, has more than 50 employees at three locations, about 1,400 medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, trailers and its fleet includes 560 full-service lease and more than 800 contract maintenance vehicles.

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is ranked No. 10 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
